NYSIIS Registry

NYSIIS is a vaccine registry that provides a permanent record of all immunizations. Children under 19 are required to have their vaccines entered,anyone over 19 must sign a consent form to have their vaccines entered.

Vaccine Information Statements (VISs) are information sheets produced by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that explain to vaccine recipients, their parents, or their legal representatives both the benefits and risks of a vaccine. Federal law requires that VISs be handed out whenever (before each dose) certain vaccinations are given.

     

Immunization Clinics

Oswego County Health Department holds immunization clinics each week in two different locations. They are held the first and third Tuesday of every month from 9 to 11 am at the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse in Pulaski and every Tuesday from 12:30 to 3:30 pm at the Nick Sterio Public Health Clinic in Oswego. You do not need to make an appointment for these clinics, patients are seen on a first come first serve basis.

Patients should bring all insurance cards to the clinic. Oswego County Health Department operates on a sliding fee scale for our vaccinations. No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

Seasonal Flu Vaccine

To schedule an appointment for a flu vaccine go to https://www.ehealthscheduling.com/Oswego, or call 349-3547. The cost of the vaccine is $30, and is covered by Medicaid and Medicare Part B. Patients should bring their insurance cards to the clinic. Pneumonia vaccine is $50.00 and available at all of our clinics. Flu clinics for children will be announced when the vaccine becomes available.
