Two Free Computer Workshops Offer Career Assistance
MEXICO - The Career Connection Center is offering two workshops for different levels of computer users. The first is "An Introduction to Microsoft Word" and will be held Wednesday, April 7 from 9 to 10 a.m. The second workshop, "Make Your Own Career Choices," will meet Thursday, April 8 between 12:30 and 3:30 p.m. Both workshops are free and will take place in the Career Connection computer lab, Department of Social Services Building, Spring Street, Mexico.
"An Introduction to Microsoft Word" is a hands-on class for beginners. The class covers setting up business letters, cut and paste, changing type size and style, and saving to a disc. The student will learn how to type a variety of documents.
"Make Your Own Career Choices" will use an easy to use computer software program to assess your interests, strengths, and weaknesses, as well as give information on career fields.
