Camp Hollis Is Accepting Applications for Campers

OSWEGO TOWN -- The Oswego County children's camp at Camp Hollis is accepting applications for the summer season. Eight-year-olds may apply for the camp's overnight mini-camp July 1 and 2. Children between the ages of nine and 12 may apply for one of seven weeklong sessions running between July 5 and Aug. 20.

Located on the shore of Lake Ontario in the town of Oswego, Camp Hollis is operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. Children attend camp for a week, arriving on Sunday and leaving on Friday. They stay in cabins and take part in a variety of activities, including swimming in the pool, nature hikes, arts and crafts projects, and campfire sing-along.

The fee for the camp varies from $20 to $80 per week, depending on family income. Full and partial scholarships are also available to help families pay for camp tuition.

This year the application is available in all Oswego County elementary schools and may be downloaded from the Oswego County Website at www.oswegocounty.com/youth/hollis/index.html

For more information, visit the Web site or call the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau at 349-3451or -800-596-3200, ext. 3451.
