Camp Hollis Has a Few Openings for Boys
The Oswego County children's camp at Camp Hollis still has a few openings this summer for boys ages 9 through 12.
Boys ages nine and 10 may apply to attend camp during the week of Aug. 15 through 20. Boys ages 11 and 12 may apply to attend camp during the week of Aug. 8 through 13.
Located on the shore of Lake Ontario in the town of Oswego, Camp Hollis is operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau. Children attend camp for a week, arriving on Sunday and leaving on Friday. They stay in cabins and take part in a variety of activities, including swimming in the pool, nature hikes, arts and crafts, and campfire sing-alongs.
All of the openings for girls at Camp Hollis have been filled for the summer. The youth bureau will put any applications it receives for girls on a waiting list. Openings are filled on a first-come, first-served basis if there are cancellations.
Depending on family income, the cost of camp ranges from $20 to $80. Full and partial scholarships are available to help families pay for camp tuition. For more information, visit the Oswego County Web site at www.oswegocounty.com, or call the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau at 349-3451.
