Community Agencies Will Honor Caregivers at a Special Luncheon
OSWEGO -- Three local agencies have joined resources to offer an appreciation luncheon that honors caregivers in the community. People who take care of a spouse, parent, child or friend on a regular basis will be recognized from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 1 at a caregivers' luncheon at the Oswego County Office Complex, 70 Bunner St.
The event is organized by Families with Attention Deficit Disorder, Parents of Special Children, and the Oswego County Office for the Aging. All food, door prizes and entertainment have been donated for the event, and local chef Joe Ukleya has volunteered to cook the meal. Guest speaker Larry Brennan will offer his humorous insights to provide caregivers an afternoon of lighthearted respite.
Seating is limited to the first 50 people to make reservations. To sign up, call the Office for the Aging at 349-3484 or 1-800-596-3200, ext. 3484; Families with Attention Deficit Disorder at 349-8603, or Parents of Special Children at 598-7672.
