Parents Encouraged to Take 'Time Out'
OSWEGO -- The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau is offering a free parenting class on how to use "time out" as a discipline technique. The class will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Oct. 18 and Oct. 25 at the Youth Bureau office, 70 Bunner St., Oswego.
The workshop is a video discussion program that teaches 20 methods, skills and principles for managing the behavior of 2- to 12-year-olds. The program is based on the book "S.O.S. Help for Parents," written by Lynn Clark, Ph. D. The class is limited to 20 people.
