Families Invited to Winter Wonderland Feb. 24 at Camp Hollis
OSWEGO -- All Oswego County youth and families are invited to play out in the snow at the Hollis Winter Wonderland Feb. 24 at Camp Hollis. Organized and hosted by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and Reality Check, the free event will feature outdoor activities and games from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., including snow bowling, sledding, snowshoeing, softball in the snow, an obstacle course, and tug-of-war.
Free refreshments will be provided. Those who wish to sled should bring their own sleds. Snowshoes are available at Camp Hollis. There will be an indoor warming station with arts and crafts. All other events take place outdoors and participants are advised to dress accordingly.
Camp Hollis is owned by Oswego County and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau as a residential camp for children during the summer months for children. Located at 40 Health Camp Road, off Lakeshore Road in the town of Oswego, the facility is available for year-round use by families, clubs, school groups and other organizations.
Free parking will be available. Donations of canned goods will be collected for Oswego County food pantries, and quarters for "Quarters for Kids" to benefit youth from Indonesia affected by the tsunami will also be collected.
