Public Hearings Set for Pulaski/Richland Strategic Plan
PULASKI -- Two public hearings will offer residents in the town of Richland and village of Pulaski opportunities to comment on the combined strategic plan for the town and village. The hearing for the village will be at 7 p.m. Monday, April 11 at the Snow Memorial Building on North Jefferson Street, Pulaski. The hearing for the town will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 in the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse, Bridge Street, Pulaski.
The strategic planning effort is designed to promote a vision and make recommendations on future planning, zoning, land use and community enhancement initiatives as voiced in the recent community survey. The Strategic Plan Committee has also reviewed all past plans and studies and included recommendations from the studies as well as results from the community survey as a basis for determining future planning actions.
Upon adoption by the Village and Town Boards, the strategic plan will be forwarded to the State of New York for approval and the Village and Town will start to develop the joint comprehensive plan.
The Village of Pulaski and Town of Richland received a New York State technical assistance grant for $11,000 from the Governor's Office of Small Cities to formulate a strategic plan for the Village and Town.
