Group to Hold Vigil Against Child Abuse
FULTON -- The Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County (CAC) invites the community to a candlelight vigil at 7 p.m. April 28 to increase community awareness of child abuse. The program will take place at the pavilion at Bullhead Point on Route 3 in Fulton and will feature speakers and a candlelighting ceremony.
April is National Child Abuse Prevention month, and the CAC has been working with area agencies to increase community awareness about the prevalence of child abuse in Oswego County.
The CAC is also partnering with P&C Foods in Oswego County from 9 a.m. to noon April 23. Students who are enrolled in the New Vision Law and Government curriculum will distribute informational materials about the CAC to parents and provide balloons and free face-painting for children at P & C stores in Oswego, Fulton, and Pulaski.
