Telephone Customers are Without Service in Northern Oswego County
Several Oswego County households are without telephone service Friday afternoon due to a problem with a Verizon fiber optic phone line.
Oswego County Fire Coordinator John Hinds said that residents needing emergency assistance may go to the volunteer fire station in their community. Fire stations are staffed with volunteers who can request emergency services through radio communication.
Customers in the following telephone exchanges are affected:
298 (Pulaski); 387 (Sandy Creek); 625 (Parish); 964 (Williamstown); and 599 (Redfield and Osceola).
Hinds said Verizon hopes to have the line repaired between 9 p.m. and midnight Friday.
