Deadlines Approach for Absentee Ballots
OSWEGO -- The Oswego County Board of Elections today reminded all county voters that they may vote by absentee ballot if they will be out of the county on Election Day, Nov. 8, or will be unable to go to the polls because of illness or physical disability.
Voters will receive an absentee ballot after they complete an application and mail it to the Oswego County Board of Elections no later than Tuesday, Nov. 1, or hand-deliver it by Monday, Nov. 7. All completed absentee ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 7 and received no later than Nov. 15. Absentee ballots may also be hand-delivered to the county board prior to the closing of the polls on Election Day.
Applications for absentee ballots are available at the County Board of Elections, 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego. Internet users can download an application by clicking http://www.oswegocounty.com/election/absentee.html.
