Community Agencies Will Honor Caregivers at a Special Luncheon
OSWEGO -- Four local agencies have joined resources to host an appreciation luncheon that honors caregivers in the community. People who take care of a spouse, parent, child or friend on a regular basis will be recognized from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 2 at a caregivers' luncheon at Springside at Seneca Hill, county Route 45A, Oswego.
The event is organized by Families with Attention Deficit Disorder, the Oswego County Office for the Aging, Parents of Special Children, and the Manor at Seneca Hill.
"November is National Caregivers Month, and this is an appropriate time to honor those special folks who are devoted to giving compassionate and dignified care to others," said Larry Schmidt, director of the Oswego County Office for the Aging.
Lunch will be served in the formal dining room. Guest speaker Larry Brennan will again offer his humorous insights on caregiving after lunch.
Reservations are required by Oct. 25. For more information or to make a reservation, call the Office for the Aging, weekdays, at 349-3484 or 1-800-596-3200, ext. 3484.
