Tenth Annual Lake Ontario Bird Festival is Set for May 6
MEXICO -- Visitors to the tenth annual Lake Ontario Bird Festival Saturday, May 6 at Yogi Bearís Jellystone Park Resort, will get a close-up view of the fascinating birds of prey that migrate over the Lake Ontario shoreline every spring.
The festival features live owls, hawks, eagles and other birds, workshops, and activities for children and birders of all ages. Central New York wildlife artist Bob McNamara will lead a popular nature journaling and sketching workshop along the Little Salmon River.
Festival hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with story telling around the campfire from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is free. The park is located at 601 County Route 16, Mexico. For information, call 963-7096 or 963-7657.
