Camp Hollis Open House Set for May 21
OSWEGO -- Camp Hollis, now in its 60th year as Oswego County’s children’s residential camp, will host its second annual open house from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 21.
The public is welcome to enjoy the beautiful facility which is located on Lake Ontario in the town of Oswego. Camp Hollis is owned by the County of Oswego and operated by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
Visitors may tour the campgrounds and cabins and participate in a sample of typical camp activities. Informational booths will be set up to spotlight the many programs the camp offers, including summer residential camp, Rainbow of Hope bereavement camp, Family Camp, and Senior Camping. Current educational programs will be displayed for teachers who enjoy instructing in an environmental education setting. Campers and parents will be able to meet directors and counselors who will be working at the camp this season.
Registration for residential summer camping for youth ages 8 to 14 will be ongoing throughout the day. In addition to registration assistance, information regarding scholarships will be available.
