Board of Elections Is Looking for Inspectors to Work at Polling Sites
The Oswego County Board of Elections is looking for registered voters to serve as election inspectors during the Primary and General Elections.
Inspectors will be required to attend training and pass a certification test. They will be paid $90 for the Primary Election, Sept. 12, 2006, $150 for the General Election, Nov. 7, 2006, and $25 for training.
Election Commissioners William Scriber and Donald Wart said that being an election inspector is a perfect opportunity to meet and greet friends and neighbors, while performing a worthwhile service for the community.
Inspectors must be registered as either a Republican or Democrat voter, and be available to work the entire shift from 5:30 a.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Election Day.
For more information, call Democrat Election Commissioner Scriber at 349-8350 or Republican Election Commissioner Wart at 349-8351, or 1-800-596-3200, ext. 8350 or 8351.
