Committee Announces Brownfield Projects at June 6 Meeting
FULTON – New developments in the Fulton area brownfield assessment project will be announced at a public meeting at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, at the Fulton Municipal Building. The Community Brownfield Action Group will host the public meeting, which will take about an hour, to inform citizens of progress made on several brownfield sites.
“The purpose of the meeting is to showcase how the brownfield project is moving ahead and how the program ties in with existing community plans such as the Pathfinder Trail and other local waterfront revitalization plans,” said Karen Noyes, senior planner for the Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning. “We will announce new grant funding for the 78 N. Fifth St. site, and discuss other grants that we’ve applied for and received.”
Updates will be given by Laureen McMurray-Boyle of ENSR, and L. Michael Treadwell, director of Operation Oswego County, Inc.
The community is encouraged to attend. The Fulton Common Council will hold its regular meeting after the community brownfield meeting.
