Voter Registration Deadline for Primary Election is Aug. 18

OSWEGO -- The Oswego County Board of Elections reminds people who wish to vote in the Sept. 12 Primary Election that they need to register by Aug. 18.

Mail-in voter registration forms must be postmarked by midnight Friday, Aug. 18, to be valid for the Primary Election. Residents may also register in person at the Board of Elections, County Office Building, 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego, until 5 p.m. Aug. 18.

People who have moved into Oswego County need to re-register from their new address. Registered voters who change addresses within Oswego County need to give written notification to the Board of Elections by Aug. 23.

New voters, and registered voters who have changed address, may use the New York State voter registration form. Forms are available at the Board of Elections in Oswego, on the Oswego County Web site at www.oswegocounty.com/election/voteform.pdf , and at post offices, libraries, and state agency offices.
