Deadline for Voting Absentee in Primary Election is Sept. 5
OSWEGO -- The Oswego County Board of Elections reminds registered voters that they may vote by absentee ballot if they will be out of the county on Primary Day, Sept. 12. Registered voters who are unable to go to the polls because of illness or physical disability may also vote by absentee ballot.
Voters will receive an absentee ballot after they complete an application and mail it to the Oswego County Board of Elections no later than Tuesday, Sept. 5, or apply in person by Monday, Sept. 11. Completed absentee ballots must be postmarked by Sept. 11 and received no later than Sept. 19. Absentee ballots may also be hand-delivered to the county board prior to the closing of the polls on Primary Day.
Applications for absentee ballots are available at the County Board of Elections, 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego. Internet users can download an application from the Oswego County Web site at www.oswegocounty.com/election/absentee.html.
