Volunteers Needed to Help with Outdoor Projects at County Parks
Is your group looking for an outdoor project for this fall?
Oswego County Parks and Recreation, a division of the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau, is looking for volunteer groups to provide light maintenance work at two of its sites.
Volunteers are needed to help during the month of October at Camp Hollis, located in the town of Oswego on Lake Ontario, and Independence Trail, located on County Route 1A in Scriba.
Projects will include cleaning trails, picking up trash, weeding and raking. The division of Parks and Recreation will provide a project coordinator, hand tools such as rakes, trash bags, and gloves. Groups are encouraged to bring additional hand tools if available. Volunteers under age 12 must have adult supervision.
For more information or to volunteer a group, please contact Jim Farfaglia weekdays at the Youth Bureau/County Parks & Recreation office, phone 349-3451 or 1-800-596-3200, ext. 3451.
