Village Receives Downtown Revitalization Grant
The Village of Mexico will receive $610,100 in funding from the Restore NY program for restoration of several historic buildings along Main Street. On hand for the grant announcement were, from left, Town Supervisor David Anderson, Village Trustee James Hotchkiss, property owner Una Peters, County Legislator John Proud, District 7, Mexico; Village Mayor Terry Grimshaw; Tom Gillson, regional director of Empire State Development; Assemblyman Will Barclay; David Dano, Business Finance Director, Operation Oswego County, Inc.; and David Turner, Director, Oswego County Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning. The funds will be used to continue downtown restoration projects and make interior and exterior renovations to historic buildings along Mexico's Main Street.
