County Tourism Office Provides Free Publicity for Summer Events
The calendar still reads January, but the Oswego County Division of Promotion and Tourism is looking ahead to summer and is compiling a list of events for the 2007 “Summer in Oswego County” brochure.
Organizations that submit their information by Jan. 26 will receive a free listing in the county's tourism calendar.
“The annual brochure includes more than 200 events, including festivals, concerts, fishing derbies and children's programs, that will take place throughout our county between April and October of this year,” said David Turner, director of the Department of Community Development, Tourism and Planning.
The county tourism office will distribute 25,000 copies at travel and vacation shows, chambers of commerce, NYS Thruway and Gateway Information Centers, and at local businesses and county offices. The brochure will also be posted on the county government Web site at www.oswegocounty.com.
To request an entry form, call Mary Ellen Barbeau at the Division of Promotion and Tourism, weekdays at 349-8322 or 1-800-596-3200, ext. 8322, or email@example.com.
