April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month
Oswego County Legislature Chairman Russ Johnson presents a proclamation in support of National Child Abuse Prevention Month to Olivia VanSanford, director of the Child Advocacy Center of Oswego County. The center provides free services to child victims of abuse and their families, and includes office space for law enforcement and caseworker investigations and medical examinations. There will be a candlelight vigil in support of child abuse victims at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 25, at the Bullhead Point gazebo in Fulton. For information, call the center at 59-CHILD (592-4453).
