Oswego County E-911 Reports Large Area of
Oswego County is Without Phone Service
Oswego County E-911 reports that as of approximately 11 a.m. this morning the city of Fulton and several surrounding areas of Oswego County are without telephone service. The outage is caused by a problem with a Windstream telephone line, formerly All-Tel, and is affecting the city of Fulton, the village of Central Square and portions of the towns of Palermo, Schroeppel, Granby, Minetto, Hastings, West Monroe and Hannibal.
The disruption is also affecting some cellular phone customers.
All fire stations in these areas have personnel on hand. Anyone needing emergency assistance, whose landline or cell phone is affected, should go directly to their nearest fire station, ambulance service or police station for assistance. The County 911 Center has notified Windstream of the disruption.
