Lessons on Assertive Discipline for Parents
The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau will host a free parenting class based on a nationally-recognized technique that parents can use to manage the misbehavior of children. The class is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 15 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Youth Bureau office, 70 Bunner St., Oswego.
The two-hour presentation walks through a step-by-step approach to handling the misbehavior of children of all ages. The presentation is modeled after the book “Assertive Discipline for Parents” written by child management expert Lee Canter. The class will be taught by Dan Reynolds, youth activities coordinator for the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau.
Registration is limited to 20 individuals. To sign up contact Reynolds weekdays at the youth bureau, phone 349-3451 or 1-800-596-3200, ext. 3451.
