Job Seekers Can Learn about Trade Union Opportunities Nov. 1

MEXICO - Oswego County Workforce New York has teamed up with several local unions to present a trade union forum Thursday, Nov. 1, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Oswego County BOCES in Mexico.

The event will provide job seekers the opportunity to hear what local trade unions look for when hiring, and what kind of jobs are available.

“Every day we deal with many anxious Oswego County job seekers eager to find their next job,” said Judy McManus, senior employment specialist with the Oswego county Division of Employment and Training. “In an effort to provide accurate information to these jobseekers and assist the trade unions with their recruitment process we are inviting all interested persons to participate in a trade union forum.”

The forum will include a panel discussion where representatives from each union will provide information about their union. Speakers from each union will be available to answer questions following the program.

For more information on the forum visit, www.yourcareerconnection.org or call 591-9000.
