Youth Advisory Council Holds Bowlathon for Cammeo Lazzaro Dec. 28
The Oswego County Youth Advisory Council (YAC) will hold its twelfth annual bowl-a-thon Friday, Dec. 28, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Lighthouse Lanes in Oswego.
Admission is $7 and includes three games and shoe rental. Bowlers are encouraged to help YAC raise money for Cammeo Lazzaro, an honor roll senior from Oswego High School who was critically burned at a campfire in October.
The council consists of high school students who represent all nine school districts in Oswego County, including private schools and home schools. Members work closely with the Oswego City/County Youth Bureau to help develop programs that can benefit youth across the county.
YAC will host an open house from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Oswego County BOCES. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served. Members will present information on activities and current community service projects which they're involved in.
