Families Invited to Winter Wonderland Feb. 20 at Camp Hollis
OSWEGO - The Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and Reality Check will host Hollis Winter Wonderland, a free winter event at Camp Hollis, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20.
This year, in addition to hockey, snowshoeing and other winter activities, all Oswego County youth and families are invited to attempt to break the Guinness Book of World Records for golf ball stacking. The current record for golf balls, stacked vertically using no adhesive, is nine. Adults and youth are encouraged to help break this record during the Winter Wonderland Event.
Other activities include hockey, snowshoeing, sledding, arts and crafts and snowman building. Snowshoes are available at Camp Hollis. Visitors should bring their own sleds.
Hollis Winter Wonderland is primarily an outside event, and participants should dress accordingly. There will be a warming station available and lunch will be served during the program. There is no admission charge, however donations will be accepted to help sponsor future Camp Hollis family activities.
