Sheriff's Office to Participate in "Operation Safe STOP Awareness and Enforcement Day"
Sheriff Reuel A. Todd has announced members of the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office will participate in the “Operation Safe STOP Awareness and Enforcement Day,” on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Uniform Deputies will patrol in the morning and afternoon in each of the nine school districts within Oswego County. The Sheriff’s Office will participate as part of a New York statewide effort to promote school bus safety.
The sole aim of all collective law enforcement efforts will be to increase public awareness, which can reduce aggressive driving behavior. This is an effort to ensure the common goal: Safe transportation to and from school for our children.
