County Proclaims Motorcycle Awareness Month
County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann is joined by fellow riders as he proclaims May as Motorcycle Awareness Month in Oswego County. Jim Waterman of Pennellville, president of the Oswego County chapter of ABATE (American Bikers Aimed toward Education) received the proclamation from Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann. Joining him with their motorcycles were Legislators Lee Walker Jr., District 15; Douglas Malone, District 20; and Patrick Sugar of the Oswego County Building and Grounds staff. Also on hand were Legislator Kim Seager, far left, chairwoman of the Finance and Personnel Committee, and Legislator Shawn Doyle, far right, chairman of the Economic Development and Planning Committee. Members of ABATE will hold a blessing of the bikes ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 3, at Hazzy's in New Haven. For information on chapter activities, visit www.oswegoabate.org/
