Oswego County Rescinds Ban on Open Burning
Oswego County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann will remove the ban on outdoor burning effective 2 p.m. this afternoon, April 28.
“The heavy rainfall that we received on Saturday, and the continued precipitation that is forecast for the next several days, have greatly reduced the threat of fires in Oswego County,” said Legislature Chairman Leemann. “There is no longer an imminent threat. Therefore, I am removing the ban on outdoor burning that began on Friday.”
Legislature Chairman Leemann thanks residents and the fire services for their cooperation and assistance.
