Oswego County Budget Available Online
OSWEGO - Oswego County's adopted 2009 budget is available online at www.oswegocounty.com/admin.
“The county budget is now available online to make it easier and quicker for the general public to access it,” said County Administrator Philip Church. “The online version includes an introduction about the budget process, an explanation of the various parts of the budget, and a glossary of definitions.”
The $181,966,815 budget adopted by the County Legislature holds the generic property tax rate at the 2008 level of $7.18 per $1,000 of assessed value. About 20 percent of the total budget will be raised by property taxes. The remainder is raised by state and federal revenues, sales tax, grants, and user fees.
The document is in Adobe .pdf format and is one megabyte in size. Users will need to have Adobe Reader installed on their computer to access the file. Adobe Reader is a free program and is available at www.adobe.com.
The online budget is a project of the County Administrator's Office and the Department of Central Services.
