Sport Fishing Museum Hosts Fly Tying Classes by Dr. Bob Rock
ALTMAR - The Salmon River International Sport Fishing Museum will host fly tying classes by Dr. Bob Rock on Saturdays, July 11 through Aug. 1. Classes will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the museum at 3044 State Route 13, three miles east of Pulaski. There is no charge. Materials will be provided.
Dr. Rock has instructed fly tying and fly fishing classes for several regional organizations, including the Wounded Warriors program at Fort Drum, and has authored articles for numerous angling and skiing publications. He is the founding president of the Salmon River Chapter of Trout Unlimited, a life member of the National Ski Patrol System, a 50-year member of the Adirondack Mountain Club, and is retired Vice President for Student Affairs and physical education at SUNY Oswego.
Space is limited and reservations are required. The class is designed for adults and youths age 12 and older. To register, call the Pulaski/Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce Office at 298-2213 and leave a message. The event is sponsored by the Cultural Resources Council of Central NY.
