![]() July 17, 2009 Board of Elections Will Demonstrate New Voting MachinesThe Oswego County Board of Elections has scheduled several opportunities for voters to try out Oswego County’s new electronic voting machines. Election Commissioners William Scriber and Donald Wart announced that demonstrations will be held at the following times and places:
Oswego County is testing the new optical scanner voting system in a pilot program with the state Board of Elections. The new system, which replaces all of the old lever-style voting machines, will be used this fall in the Sept. 15 primary elections and the Nov. 3 general elections. Additional demonstrations will be announced for events this summer and fall. For information, contact the Oswego County Board of Elections at 349-VOTE or stop by the office at 185 E.
