Oswego County Proclaims October as 4-H Month

Oswego County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann recently presented a proclamation designating the month of October as 4-H Month in Oswego County. At hand to receive the proclamation were Derek Grindle, 4-H member; Debbie Holliday, 4-H program educator; and Jan Smith, 4-H program educator. With the support of the Oswego County Legislature, Cornell Cooperative Extension serves the individual and group educational needs of Oswego County rural and urban youth in 4-H/Youth Development programs. This year, Oswego County celebrates 88 years of 4-H programs with over 10,000 youths acquiring worthwhile life-skills through the teachings of hundreds of 4-H volunteers across the county.
