May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month
Oswego County Legislature Chairman Barry Leemann (right) joined members of the Oswego County Chapter of ABATE (American Bikers Aimed toward Education) to proclaim May as Motorcycle Awareness Month. At hand to accept the proclamation was Jim Waterman of Pennellville, ABATE president. Working together, car drivers and motorcyclists can ensure motorcycle safety. ABATE encourages motorists to be vigilant about motorcycles at intersections and in heavy traffic and motorcyclists to learn and use proper operating techniques.
