U.S. Passport Fee to Increase $35
OSWEGO - Oswego County Clerk George J. Williams reminds citizens that the fee for a federal passport will increase $35 on Tuesday, July 13. New passport books will cost $135 and passport cards will cost $55.
Residents who submit their applications through Monday, July 12, will be charged $100. Staff at the County Clerk's Office are available to take passport photos and accept applications Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The County Clerk's Office is located on the second floor of the Legislative Office Building at 46 E. Bridge St., Oswego.
U.S. citizens entering the country from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda must present a passport book, passport card, or other travel documents approved by the federal government. Information on how to apply for a U.S. passport is available on-line at www.travel.state.gov and by calling the Oswego County Clerk's Office at 315-349-8621 or the National Passport Information Center at 1-877-487-2778.
