Mexico Historical Society Breaks Ground on Restoration Project
Members of the Mexico Historical Society met with Assemblyman Will Barclay and Mike Quenville from Pathfinder Bank to celebrate the beginning of the restoration efforts at the Starr Clark Tin Shop on Main Street in Mexico. They include President Ali Proud, Mexico Village Historian Bonnie Shumway, Mexico Village Trustee Jim Hotchkiss, Town Councilor Betty Green, and Oswego County Legislator John Proud, District 7. The first goal of the restoration project will be to stabilize the building with a new roof, siding, windows, and doors. Work will be completed by the end of the year.
