Oswego County Proclaims National Runaway Prevention Month in November

Oswego County Legislature Chairman Barry D. Leemann presents a proclamation to Oswego County Opportunities, Inc. (OCO) and the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau designating November as National Runaway Prevention Month. Each year there are between 1 and 3 million homeless or runaway youths in the United States. Working together, communities can raise awareness about this issue and limit its occurrence by empowering families and providing necessary supports. Pictured from left are Legislature Chairman Leemann, District 4; Tina Sherman, OCO Prevention and Early Intervention Program Manager; Amy Baldwin, OCO Youth Specialist; and Kathleen Fenlon, Oswego City/County Youth Bureau Director.
