EMT Course Begins in January in Pulaski
Pulaski -- The Oswego County Emergency Management Office/Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will offer an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Basic Original and Refresher course beginning in January at the Ringgold Fire Station.
The fire station is located at 11 Lake St. in the Village of Pulaski.
The class is designed to provide certification or recertification of the New York State Basic Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). The Certified Instructor Coordinators (CICs) will be Norm Wallis and Lyle Robbins.
The class will begin Friday, Jan. 21, for refresher students and Monday, Jan. 24, for original students. Classes will run Monday, Fridays (until March), Thursdays (after March) and some Saturdays.
Challenge exams for refresher students will be Jan. 21 for the written exam, and Jan. 22 for the practical skills exam. The New York State written exam will be June 23, 2011.
Registration is necessary by Jan. 20. For registration information, a course schedule and textbook information, call the Emergency Management Office at 591-9150. Anyone with questions may contact Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Coordinator Jim Jones at 591-9110.
