Pulaski Wins Oswego County's Best-Tasting Drinking Water Contest Two Years Running
The Oswego County Legislature's Health and Human Services Committee recently presented the village of Pulaski with the first-place award in its annual best-tasting drinking water contest. The presentation took place at the H. Douglas Barclay Courthouse in Pulaski during the August legislature meeting. The contest is sponsored by the Oswego County Health Department's Environmental Division, New York State Department of Health, and the New York State chapter of the American Water Works Association. At hand for the presentation were Oswego County legislators Shawn Doyle, District 3; Committee Chairman John Proud, District 7; Pulaski Mayor Ernie Wheeler; Oswego County Public Health Director Dr. Dennis Norfleet; Barbara Brown, District 8; and Margaret Kastler, District 1. In the back row are legislators James Karasek, District 22; Ronald Sakonyi, District 5; Committee Vice Chairman Jacob Mulcahey, District 15; and Terry Wilbur, District 21.
