OSWEGO - Relax in a "Titanic" way this summer with your very own elegant lounge chairs. Buy your tickets now to win a pair of chaise deck chairs designed in the style of those used aboard the RMS Titanic.

Tickets are $20 each and available now at the H. Lee White Marine Museum on West First Street Pier or The Picture Connection at 169 W. First St., Oswego. They can also be purchased from members of the museum's board of trustees and the Titanic Commemoration Committee.

The pair of exquisite replica deck chairs is valued at nearly $1,000. They are made of solid teak wood with a naturally rich honey color and sanded to a smooth finish. They each have brass hardware and fold neatly for storage. Chair backs and armrests adjust to three positions for lounging comfort.

There will be only 350 deck chair tickets sold and the drawing will be held on Saturday, June 30 at the H. Lee White Marine Museum. According to Donna Kuhn, museum board president, "The winner does not need to be present to win."

Tickets for the deck chair drawing will also be available at the museum's gala event, 'A Titanic Affair' on Saturday, April 14 at the American Foundry in Oswego. This is the museum's premier fund-raising event and will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic.

Tickets to the gala, which includes an eight-course meal with the appropriate wine pairings, are on sale for $100 each. Highlights of the event include the re-created first-class menu which is similar to that served aboard the Olympic-class Titanic as well as a commemorative ceremony conducted by George DeMass, chaplain for the Titanic Historical Society, to recognize those lost in the disaster.

Guests will also enjoy music and dancing and vie for an assortment of unique prizes and baskets in the silent auction. A professional photographer will be at hand to take keepsake photos against a Titanic backdrop for a nominal fee.

To purchase tickets for the deck chair drawing, reserve tickets for the gala evening or learn more about upcoming events related to the year-long commemoration of the sinking of Titanic, call the museum at 315-342-0480, or visit their Web site www.hleewhitemarinemuseum.com or Facebook page.
