Oswego County is Making Work Pay for Local Youth
Are you or do you know someone between the ages of 16 and 20 that is looking for a summer job? Oswego County Youth Works may be able to help!
The Oswego County Division of Employment and Training is seeking youth for the Summer Youth Works Program. Orientations have been scheduled and the search has begun for interested youth throughout Oswego County.
"The Summer Youth Works program is a grant-funded summer employment program, which is intended to provide Oswego County youth with paid work experience and job readiness skills in order to help build a foundation of competencies for entering the workforce," said Christine Weaver, Coordinator of Client Services for the Division of Employment and Training. "Certain income eligibility guidelines must be met to participate. Each youth's eligibility will be determined one-on-one when they attend an orientation session."
Sessions are held at the Youth Works office at 200 N. Second St., Fulton or at the Department of Social Services office at 100 Spring St., Mexico.
