City of Oswego Youth Pleads to Burglary Charges
OSWEGO, N.Y. - A 15-year-old resident of the city of Oswego was adjudicated a juvenile delinquent under the Family Court Act as a result of a plea entered in Oswego County Family Court yesterday, in satisfaction of petitions filed on multiple charges. The youth admitted involvement in two matters filed by the Oswego County Attorney's Office constituting the crime of Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony if committed by an adult. This involved the theft of handguns, an AR-15 assault rifle and other property from residences located in the towns of Oswego and Scriba.
The arrest of the youth was the result of a joint investigation by the Oswego County Sheriff's Office, the Oswego City Police and the New York State Police. The youth was remanded to secure detention pending a further appearance before the court.
