Oswego County Telephone Outage Is Resolved
Oswego - The Oswego County E-911 Communications Center reports that the telephone outage in the communities of Altmar, Lacona, Sandy Creek and Parish has been fixed and people are able to call 911 from their telephones.
Volunteer fire departments from those areas were manned Friday afternoon to assist people with emergencies who could not reach 911.
"We appreciate the efforts of the volunteer fire departments and the 911 center staff while the outage persisted," Oswego County E-911 Communications Center Director Michael Allen and Oswego County Fire Coordinator Don Forbes said.
