'Simplify, Simplify' Is Theme of Senior Camping at Camp Hollis, Sept. 10 and 11

OSWEGO - Camp Hollis will be keeping it simple on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 10 and 11, at the annual Senior Camping program for people 50 years young and older.

This year's theme is "Simplify, Simplify." Visitors should plan to enjoy nature programs, hikes, arts and crafts, sports, bingo, dancing, a bonfire, guest speakers, sing-a-longs, and great food.

This summer marks the 22nd year that the Oswego County children's camp on Lake Ontario has hosted a senior camping program.

Guests have three options this year:

  • Monday, Sept. 10, 9 a.m. through Tuesday, Sept. 11, 3 p.m. Overnight accommodations include cabins with electricity, running water, and bathroom facilities, $20 registration fee;

  • Choose Monday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Tuesday, Sept.11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., or attend both days with a $10 daily fee; or

  • Monday only, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., $12.50 registration fee.
