Oswego County Drug Task Force Announces Arrest of Granby Man
OSWEGO COUNTY DRUG TASK FORCE ANNOUNCES ARREST - Michael Edward Shoults, Sr., age 52, of Granby, New York was arrested Friday, September 28 after an investigation by the Oswego County Drug Task Force.
GRANBY - Michael Edward Shoults, Sr., age 52, of Granby, New York was arrested after an investigation by the Oswego County Drug Task Force. After a search warrant was executed by the Oswego County Sheriff's Emergency Service Unit, The New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, The City of Fulton Police Department and members of the Oswego
County Drug Task Force, Shoults was charged with the following:
Michael Edward Shoults Sr. is accused of possessing several firearms after previously being convicted of a felony. Shoults also possessed a pistol that had the serial number defaced. Shoults was unlawfully growing cannabis and possessing over 16 ounces of marihuana.
Shoults is also accused of endangering the welfare of the children present in the home due to the risk associated with the possession and sale of marihuana, which placed the children in danger due to the nature and risks associated with the trafficking of marihuana. These risks include the dangers of drug related robberies and/or the risk of injury or harm related to the execution of search warrants conducted by police in an attempt to curtail such illegal activity.
Shoults was arraigned in the City of Fulton Court by Hon. Spencer J. Ludington and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center in lieu of $2,500 cash or $5,000 secure bond.
Shoults is scheduled to appear in the Town of Granby Court on October 1, 2012 at 7 p.m.
