Town of Hastings Receives Recognition from Oswego County Legislature
The Oswego County Legislature commended the Town of Hastings at their November meeting. Under the direction of Town Supervisor Jim Weatherup and Director of Community Planning and Development Mark Bombardo, the town was awarded the "2012 Environmental Project of the Year" by the Central New York chapter of the American Public Works Association. The Caughdenoy Sewer District Extension No. 1 Project replaced the 25-year-old sand filter treatment plant and made efficiency upgrades to the Fort Brewerton Plant. Through this project, the town was able to make new public sewers available to houses along the Oneida River, and to continue providing 500 additional households with sewer service.
