Fulton Couple Arrested on Several Drug Charges

FULTON - A Fulton couple was recently arrested after a joint investigation conducted by members of the Oswego County Drug Task Force, the Fulton City Police Department and the Oswego City Police Department's Anti-Crime Team.

Two search warrants that were carried out in the city of Oswego led to the recovery of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency. A third search warrant was performed at a residence in the city of Fulton and resulted in the recovery of approximately 10 grams of both powder and crack cocaine. A handgun was found in close proximity to the cocaine along with U.S. currency. The weapon was found to have been stolen from a residence in Onondaga County in December of 2012.

As a result of the Oswego City search warrants, William D. Jackson, age 32, of Fulton, was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony; and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Based on the Fulton City search warrant, Jackson was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, a class B felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a class C felony; criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, a class D felony; criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, a class E felony; and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor.

The Fulton City search warrant also resulted in Nicole A. Searle, age 23, of Fulton, being charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a class C felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, a class D felony; criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, a class A misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marihuana, a violation.

Jackson was arraigned in Scriba Town Court and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 secured bail bond. He appeared in Fulton City Court on Thursday, March 28 at 9 a.m. and is due to appear in Oswego City Court on Thursday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m.

Searle was arraigned in Fulton City Court by Hon. David Hawthorne and remanded to the Oswego County Public Safety Center in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 secured bail bond.
