The Oswego County Legislature's Human Services Committee recently presented a proclamation designating the month of May as Foster Parent Appreciation Month. Each year in the U.S., approximately 30,000 young people leave the foster care system without lifelong families. Devoted foster parents are making great efforts to change the life of a child or youth in foster care by providing them with the security and stability that they need.
