COUNTY HONORS LITERACY MONTH - The Oswego County Legislature's Human Services Committee proclaimed September as Literacy Month at the Legislature's monthly meeting. Literacy is the fundamental building block of all learning and an essential component of school and workplace satisfaction and success. Throughout Oswego County, literacy volunteers provide free, confidential tutoring in basic literacy, citizenship, and computer skills, as well as English as a Second Language (ESL) courses and GED preparation.
